About Pranayam classes: These classes are for everyone. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Prāṇāyāma (Sanskrit: प्राणायाम prāṇāyāma) is a Sanskrit word alternatively translated as “extension of the prāṇa (breath or life force)” or “breath control.” The word is composed from two Sanskrit words: prana meaning life force (noted particularly as the breath), and either ayama (to restrain or control the prana, implying a set of breathing techniques where the breath is intentionally altered in order to produce specific results) or the negative form ayāma, meaning to extend or draw out (as in extension of the life force). It is a yogic discipline with origins in ancient India. [Source: Wikipedia]

Sunder Kand Path
When: First Tuesday of every month
Next Event: Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Location: Vishva Shakti Durga Mandir at Clarey Avenue and Bank Street
About Sunder Kand Path: To all Hindus the Ramayana is an important religious text. It describes the life of Sri Ram, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is divided into seven parts. Of these, Sunderkand is considered the most important. The reading of sunderkand has many benefits as it helps people find happiness and fulfillment. Therefore, when possibility for complete narration of the Ramayana is not possible, then people have a community prayer where Sunderkand is narrated. Sunderkand sings the praises of Sri Ram. Whoever hears it with devotion shall without any means be able to cross the ocean of life. [Source: Astrology Mag]
