Social Network of Women (S.N.O.W.)
SNOW aims to foster social interaction among women of the Indo-Canadian community and women associated with members and to provide a platform for networking, collaboration, and civic engagement.
S.N.O.W. engages in various activities of interest to members and undertaking charitable work and supporting charities. Annual membership to the group and other information is available on the website. Go to S.N.O.W. Website.
The Social Network of Women (S. N. O. W.) was formed under the auspices of the Indo-Canadian Community Centre (ICCC). It started initially as Ladies Club, had its first meeting in May 2011, and has since been meeting off and on. The network has now become active again and plans to meet monthly.

Objectives:
The ICCC Social Network of Women is aimed to promote social interaction among women of the Indo-Canadian community through regular (monthly) meetings by:
Engaging in activities of interest to members including sharing of knowledge, promoting leisurely activities, and generally contributing to the quality of life (i.e. social, cultural and economic) of its members;
Providing input into the activities of the ICCC on issues such as seniors programming, youth development and promoting Indian culture;
Undertaking charitable work and also supporting charitable initiatives of other South Asian groups as and when possible.
S.N.O.W. recently participated in a city-wide project entitled “mental health for women awareness” by stitching a part of the banner that will be unveiled later this month.
Membership Information & Activities
The Social Network of Women will operate in a secular, non-partisan manner, and its membership will be open to all women of Indian descent or by affiliation.
