Notice of the AGM
Dear Member,
Greetings.
On behalf of the ICCC Board of Directors, I am pleased to inform you that the the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM 2019) of the Indo-Canadian Community Centre is scheduled as follows:
Event: Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2019
Attendees: Life Members (voting members) of the ICCC
Date & time: Saturday July 27, 2019 at 2-5 pm
Location: East India Company Restaurant (Bells Corners), 1993 Robertson Road, Nepean
We sincerely request you to kindly attend the meeting and lend your support.

Nomination Committee & Request for Nominations to the Board:
In accordance with the article 6 in the bylaws (last amended at the Special General Body Meeting held on on May 18, 2019), elections to the board of directors (with a 3-year rolling structure) will be held at the AGM 2019.
A Nomination Committee has been formed in accordance with article 19 and consists of three members as follows:
- Rekha Dogra (Chairperson)
- Chandra Vaidyanathan
- Bhagwan Gupta
Nominations to the Board: If you are a Life Member of the ICCC and would like to nominate another Life Member, please fill out a Nomination Form online at: https://copy.icccottawa.org/agm-2019-nomination-to-the-board/ and submit online latest by July 17, 2019, which is 10 days prior to the AGM. Nominations will NOT be accepted from the floor at the AGM.
The Nominees (members who are nominated to the Board) are requested to read the following documents:
a. Bylaws of the Indo-Canadian Community Centre – Click here
b. Duties of directors of non-profit corporations – Click here
and submit before the AGM a signed declaration statement as follows: “I have read a) Bylaws of the Indo-Canadian Community Centre, and b) Duties of directors of non-profit corporations” and if elected, I hereby consent to serve on the ICCC Board.”

If you are unable to attend the AGM, we request you to furnish your proxy for voting. You may submit your proxy online at: https://copy.icccottawa.org/agm-2019-proxy-form/.
NOTE REGARDING PROXY: Please note that the AGM 2018 adopted a resolution that i) a member may only collect a maximum of two proxies from other members [this limitation is waived in case of family]; ii) the members’ proxies will not count to determine the quorum for the meeting; and iii) your proxy will only count towards voting for the resolutions.
