Meeting Purpose: The weekly meetings provide Seniors an opportunity to i) come out of their normal living quarters, ii) socialize and mingle with other seniors in the community, as well as iii) enjoy organized activities and refreshments in an informal and friendly setting. We also promote wellness.
Seniors play Bridge and other card games, chit chat, have group discussions on topics of interest to seniors, and learn about services available for seniors in community.
Tentative Agenda: Depending on the number of seniors who can attend, and their interests, the program will evolve over a period of time. A typical agenda for these meetings includes the following activities:
- Mingling and socialization among the seniors attending
- Invited lectures on topics of interest to seniors
- Networking, Games, Brainstorming, Exercises
- Book reading
- Tea and Snacks
