As part of Assisting Indo-Canadian Seniors to live with dignity programme, ICCC has been organizing senior activity meetings from October 12th, 2012, every Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM in:
Nepean, Rideau and Osgoode Community Resource Centre
1642 Merivale Road, Unit 541
Nepean, Ontario
The main activities apart from socializing are:
- Discussions on the needs of seniors, available services and bridging the gap
- Short presentations on health and well being
- Interactive physio demonstration and exercises
- Playing recreational games: scrabble etc.
- Learning and playing bridge
On the average there have been 15 participants every week.
The next meet is on Friday December 14th, 2012 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.Here is the tentative programming for the next meet:
- 1:00 Meeting starts: Tea, snacks – socializing
- 1:15 – 1:30 – Learn and refresh a couple of bridge playing techniques – competitive bidding and card play
- 1:30 – 3:30 PM Play bridge, Scrabble, …
- 3:30 PM – 4:00 – Interactive Physio by Sarah (Pro Physio & Sports Medicine Centre, Merivale)
